- Less mess and storage space vs hand towels.
- Incredible payback times – essentially giving you a ‘free’ hand dryer within 12 months of some models due to the cost savings.
- Fast turn around times, get your customers in and out of your bathroom quickly.
- Save staff time on checking and replacing paper hand towels.
Common Questions
No touch/Automatic, or Push Button Operation?
A factor to consider is whether you prefer users to manually turn on the hand dryer using a push button, or a no touch model where hands are either placed under the hand dryer or inside the hand dryer on blade/jet models. Push Button models take away any anxiety on how to operate the unit, as simply pushing the button activates the drying process. Automatic models require no contact from the user to activate the airflow, which is a more hygienic method than manual models where the push button is a concentrated area where bacteria can build up from hundreds of uses.
How much do hand dryers cost to run?
The development of technology has improved the energy efficiency of hand dryers, where the majority of models offer fantastic savings vs hand towels. The Bluedry Eco Hand Dryer for example costs only £15 per year to run if used on the cool air setting, this is half of the price of one case of hand towels. Our Eco Hand Dryers often offer warm or cool air settings (so the heating element can be turned off in summer where it is not required) to enhance energy savings. The power of the motor and RPM combined with the energy rating of the heating element affect the drying time, the cost per use and the overall efficiency of the hand dryer in general. Usually, any of our leading hand dryers will cost less than 1p per dry and the leading hand dryers can comfortably service over 1,000,000 uses in their lifetime! Some of our most effective and efficient models include the Biodrier Eco Hand Dryer, the Diamond Electric Eco Hand Dryer which is a remarkably low 300 watts and the Airsenz I-force model which has an adjustable heating element. These models offer a payback time vs the purchase of the hand dryer of less than 2 years, providing a premises with effectively a free hand dryer for the lifetime of the unit even post the warranty period.
Aren’t hand dryers noisy and will disturb my guests?
A key consideration for certain premises is the noise level that either escapes the washroom or greets the user as they dry their hands. If your bathroom is close to the main area of your business (smaller restaurants for example), utilizing a quiet hand dryer helps to ensure that customers’ meals are not interrupted, or their experience ruined every time someone dries their hands. Likewise, if the hand dryer is to be fitted where children will be regular users, a quieter model is kinder to ears and helps promote a positive hand hygiene process.
Which type of hand dryer should I buy, hands under or hands in? What are the differences?
Hands under hand dryers are still the most popular models, where a user places their hands under a sensor and aperture which activates a motor and a heating element to dry your hands. This is what most people think of when they think of a hand dryer. Hands in, or Blade, hand dryers are common in airports and shopping centres and are typically more expensive initially but cost very little to run as they are packed with energy saving features. The payback time on these models with the savings available is often less than one year and more often than not they have warranties in excess of 3 years. These are taller models, where a user places their hands inside the two sides and a blade of air scrapes hands dry very quickly. These were made popular by the Dyson AB14 Hand Dryer which is no longer available. Our most popular models are the Biodrier Executive Blade Hand Dryer and the BlueDry Jet Blade Hand Dryer. Both are well priced and provide long warranty periods with both boasting incredible levels of manufacturing and detail for fantastic performance and savings.
